FOCUS invited top-class experts and VIPs to participate in lunch-talks on occasion of the 59. Frankfurt Book Fair. The topic: “lifelong learning: chances in the era of e-learning”. Together with Renate Schmidt, MdB, former Federal Minister of Family Affairs, the neuro scientist Professor Dr. Martin Korte and the body language expert Monika Matschnig, Markus Hofmann contributed by stating his opinion.

FOCUS invited top-class experts and VIPs to participate in lunch talks on occasion of the 59. Frankfurt Book Fair, Also Markus Hofmann had the opportunity to comment on his views about the topic “lifelong learning: chances in the era of e-learning” together with Renate Schmidt, MdB, former Federal Minister of Family Affairs, and the neuro scientist Professor Dr.Martin Korte, Technical University Braunschweig, and the body language expert Monika Matschnig.

Also the neuro scientist Prof. Dr. Martin Korte of TU Braunschweig (on the right) joined in.

During the lively discussion with the presenter, Dr. Petra Thorbrietz it quickly became very clear that the participants generally assessed the possibilities of e-learning positively but they do not consider it to be a complete replacement for present learning methods. Hofmann sees a very good complement in e-learning to memorize knowledge in a more intense way.

Dr. Petra Thorbrietz took of the presenter role. Monika Matschnig, as the expert concerning the topic of body language, is on her right.

Apart from that Renate Schmidt pleaded for providing more money for the education system as a whole. Amongst others for more teachers, better learning aids and an extensive support offer.
